This article presents the optical evaluation of the vibrational behavior of a steel bar, by a non-conventional optoacoustic procedure, the LPD (laser photo deflection) method. On this occasion the bar is located horizontal and fixed at both ends. Through our procedure we experimentally find the first 9 Eigen frequencies (21 Hz, 60 Hz, 116 Hz...) and correlate them using the cantilever theory.
