The aim of this work was the synthesis of monodisperse latexes based on methyl methacrylate. To achieve this goal, methyl methacrylate was polymerized in an emulsifier-free static heterogeneous monomer-water system in the presence of hydroquinone and potassium persulfate. The size of the latex particles was determined by electron microscopy. Monodisperse latexes with a diameter of about 100 nm were synthesized as a result.
