ABSTRACT
The detention in Vancouver of
Meng Wanzhou during a transit stop as from December 1, 2018, raises a wide
range of questions, many of a serious legal nature. My paper proposes to tease
them out for examination, with a view to discovering the ultimate motive behind
the U.S. initiative on Meng, placing her and her giant company, Huawei, on
public trial as a result.
