Reliability analysis of a leak detection system developed by OSYRIS R&D is dealed with in this paper. The developed algorithm is based on signal processing theory; and it uses the properties of the cross-correlation function in order to distinguish the fluid leak from a various disturbances. Experimental results obtained on different processes, in presence of thermal and hydraulic disturbances, show the advantages and limits of the proposed approach.
