ABSTRACT
We are facing a greater
complexity of the scientific, technological, and innovative problems at
present, that is, innovation increasingly depends on the generation of
scientific and technological knowledge. Thus, the innovation process addresses
the need for the interaction of the company with multiple actors to seek
knowledge with a view to expanding its capacity to provide innovations, or even
to access new technologies and markets. The Brazilian innovation system is
considered immature and weak in relation to the interactions of scientific,
technological, and innovative actors. The objective of this work was to analyze
the maturity of the companies installed in Brazil around the construction of
competitive strategies and technological innovation, as well as the examination
of the efforts for the realization of partnerships for technological and
innovative development in collaboration and transfer of technologies promoted by the
Federal University of ABC (UFABC). The findings of the UFABC case study revealed that the university has
captured substantial resources for the development of a variety of projects. To
this end, distinctive initiatives reflected in its pedagogical project,
organizational structure and research, and the promotion of innovative areas
and projects have shown its dynamic positioning for collaborative arrangements.
